Waimea Jiujitsu has been in our hearts for quite sometime. Initially, our vision was join a local team & help build a status that displayed the true potential of Hawai’i. Over time we got wrapped into the politics that plague the jiujitsu world.

The heavy influence from external jiujitsu affiliations caused us to see the true character & nature of neighboring schools/gyms. This influence brings a foreign look/feeling to the islands. Creates a type of separation that goes against the culture we call Hawai’i.

At Waimea jiujitsu, our obligation is to maintain our culture & integrate the best of both; Hawaii & jiujitsu.
